The star of the Willamette Valley - Pinot Noir. Our winemaker, Leo Gabica, makes our Estate Pinot Noir when he feels the blocks within our vineyard need to be highlighted. An excellent vintage, enjoy the lively aromas of fresh raspberries, and juicy cherries. As you take a sip, you will be introduced to undercurrents of hazelnuts (another Willamette Valley staple) with dashes of violets. The fine tannins and balanced acidity will beckon you for another sip.
A Note from Winemaker, Leo Gabica
“I am typically at the winery each morning before the sun, but in 2018 I had to make sure to get here even early in the summer months. It was a toasty one! When I am walking through our vineyard, I am evaluating our Pinot Noir and starting my creative process. Our vineyard is dry farmed and sits on beautiful sedimentary soil - it drains really well and has ideal airflow and sunlight. With this harvest, I had to really work to manage the canopy and prevent too much sun exposure. I am really happy with the acidity and texture of this wine. I used 60% of our Kody Block, our youngest block in the vineyard. We also used 25% Wild Child Pinot Noir, and 15% of our Grandpa Block, the oldest block in the vineyard. All of our Pinot Noirs are aged in pure French oak barrels to add elegance. I aged our 2018 Estate Pinot Noir for 18 months; 20% of the barrels were new oak, 50% were 2nd or 3rd use, and the remaining was neutral oak.”

We lost our Founder, Dan, in the winter of 2018. We will hold tightly to the memories of him driving the tractor up and down from the vineyard during the 2018 harvest. His favorite job was picking up the bins full of fruit and bringing them up to Leo. Together they would “cheers” over the fruit coming in and celebrate another year of adventure and comradery. We know this wine will serve as the “cheers” inside your glass for all celebrations - big and small.
