As you sit on the edge of our patio, you overlook our Boss’ Block. A steady reminder of our visionary Founder, Dan, who would sit out on the patio every day and swap stories with guests. We love how this wine brings upon happiness - from the color, to the nose, and through to the finish. Imagine sitting in a bright rose garden on a summer day, fresh papaya in your hand - sounds amazing, right? Maybe a few more bottles to your cart.
A Note from Winemaker, Leo Gabica
“We harvested the fruit for this wine on September 23, 2020. Each bunch was hand harvested and inspected by a member of our production team. We maintained pristine quality throughout the harvest process. This wine is 100% Pinot Noir harvested from our dry-farmed estate vineyard. We picked from our Boss’ Block and Kody Block Pinot Noir. The Boss’ Block is on the edge of our patio. We renamed this block after our Founder, Dan, passed away in 2018. Kody’s Block was named for Dan’s black lab dog, Kody. This was his favorite block to run through, and we know Dan would be thrilled to have their two blocks blended together into one wine. The fruit was whole cluster pressed and fermented in stainless steel tanks for four weeks. The color is going to be inviting, as well as the bright acidity. This is our lighter of the styles of rosé that we create here at Sweet Cheeks Winery. That doesn’t mean it lacks flavor; you will be surrounded by floral and fruit notes from the nose through the finish.”

Although you may be transported to a summer day with this wine - we encourage you to also try it as the days turn colder, with a delicious wood-fired pizza as the leaves turn color, under bistro lights and wrapped in a light blanket - an excellent pairing.
