This wine, along with our Rosy, has caused quite the debate between semi-sweet wine aficionados! We highly recommend a bottle of both to determine which team you’re on. We’ve always called our semi-sweet style our “Vintage” so guests can easily distinguish the style of Riesling they enjoy when they order online or visit our tasting room. Winemaker, Leo Gabica, has found his rhythm for creating this well-balanced Riesling : sparkles of acidity behind a burst of candied citrus and floral aromas.

“Our 2018 Vintage Riesling is 91% Willamette Valley fruit and 9% Southern Oregon. The 2018 growing season was hot and dry. However, our vineyard was looking great - bringing the acidity I wanted, so we used 58% of our hand-harvest Riesling and completed the Willamette Valley portion with fruit from our long-time partners Kraemer Vineyard’s Barnes’ Ranch - the fruit is located at the highest elevation on their vineyard with Nekia and Jory soils. We also source from our good friends FiveFourteen in the Lower Long Tom AVA of the Willamette Valley, and Chateau Bianca of the Van Duzer Corridor AVA in the Willamette Valley. To achieve the roundness in the fruit - those honeysuckle or candied fruit flavor I source fruit from a warmer climate. I use long-time partner vineyard Foris Vineyards in the Rogue Valley AVA. The wine was fermented in stainless steel and we completed this wine with an overall residual sugar of 4.2%. This is a Riesling that, when paired correctly, will impress anyone who enjoys white wine. If you are hosting guests that may not immediately reach for a semi-sweet Riesling, serve a spicy dish. This wine is excellent with spicy Thai food - trust me, I’ve tried this pairing diligently.”
